I am a Cincinnati native who moved back to the area after living in California and England for a few years. Bourbon is my drink of choice and where I geek out the most but I honestly enjoy all aspects of drinking. The way it brings people together, the way it combines art, science, and culture, the way a nice drink at the end of the day can make the world seem so much better than it did a few minutes before. I am curious about the world around me, read avidly, and love a good heated discussion. This interest in the world inspires a lot of the topics here on the show. When I’m not podcasting I write for other websites such as Queen City Drinks, Comic Related, and Make Cincinnati Weird. I am also the main owner and operator for Tonic Tours, where we offer small group alcohol-based tours that focus on craft producers as well as hosting classes, tasting and other events. Charlie owned seven comic shops in the 80′s. He ran a radio station and did an alternative music show in the 90′s. He traveled and did press work for the unlimited hydroplane racing series and ESPN in the 00′s. In 2004, he started Comic Related. In 2008, he started podcasting. In 2011, he joined Pandora Promotions. In 2012 he began co-hosting the Charlie Tonic Hour. What’s next? Who knows but he promises the ride will be fun. |
