It’s another sad and lonely weekend without Ginny or Charlie on the events scene but don’t let that stop you from having fun.
Airship Passepartout in Dayton has been gathering steam at a remarkable rate. This weekend is the 20th annual Cincy Blues Fest at Sawyer Point. The first Cincy Blues Fest was held at Music Hall in 1991. After taking 1992 off, the Fest moved in 1993 to Sawyer Point Park, on the banks of the Ohio River, where it has lived ever since. Each summer 25,000-30,000 people attend the event (many traveling from as far away as Canada), making it one of the largest all-volunteer music festivals in the country. This year the Society will be celebrating the 20th annual Cincy Blues Fest on August 10 & 11, 2012. After two decades of success, Cincy Blues Fest continues to draw fans and families to Cincinnati’s riverfront for music, food, fun, and the best names in the blues. Proceeds from the Cincy Blues Fest support the Blues in the Schools program. One day tickets are only $15 in advance.
